FOR CARPENTERS & JOINERS

Understand the space.
Then discuss the craft.

Let customers describe the function, the room and the finish they are looking for. Turn a one-line fitted-storage or carpentry message into a brief you can actually discuss.

Your branding. Your questions. Photos and QR sharing included.

FICTIONAL BUSINESS BRIEF

Fitted wardrobes

THE FIRST CONVERSATION

A better brief.
Not a promise of more leads.

An inspiration image does not establish what is needed in the customer’s own room. “How much for fitted wardrobes?” may still require questions about the alcove, ceiling height, intended storage, finish, obstructions and whether rough measurements are available. The enquiry route can separate the customer’s wishes from the details that still need checking.

01

Start with what the joinery must do

Ask about storage, display, work space or a carpentry installation. Function often provides a more useful starting point than a material choice alone.

02

See the customer’s actual room

Room and alcove photos provide different information from inspiration pictures. Keep them clearly distinguished in the enquiry.

03

Prepare a specification discussion

Approximate dimensions and finish preferences can help frame a conversation. Final measurements, design details, materials and price remain subject to agreement.

QUESTIONS WITH A PURPOSE

Ask for what helps you decide.

These are starting prompts for your trade’s enquiry page, not a compulsory questionnaire. We agree the final questions around the work you accept and the details you need before responding. All answers below are fictional.

What would you like made or fitted?

Built-in wardrobes

Identifies the main job before asking detailed questions.

What will the space need to store or do?

Hanging space, drawers and shelves

Starts with the customer’s practical requirements.

Are rough dimensions available?

An alcove around 2.4 metres wide

Provides context without treating a customer measurement as a final survey.

What finish or style are you considering?

Painted finish; advice welcome

Allows a preference without forcing a premature specification.

Can you show the room and any obstructions?

Alcove photo showing sockets and skirting

Makes the next conversation more specific.

Keep photographs useful and appropriate.
Ask for an overall room view and a straight-on view of the relevant alcove, wall or installation area. If inspiration references are accepted in the final scope, label them separately from current-space photos. Do not imply that a photo establishes a final fit or measurement.

SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN CONTEXT

Same first message.
A more useful starting point.

Switch between two fictional examples. This illustrates how a tailored route can organise the information; it is not evidence of a customer result or a guaranteed time saving.

THE INITIAL MESSAGE

“How much for wardrobes like this?”

The basics still need a conversation: scope, area, context, timing and what should happen next.

FROM CARD TO CONVERSATION

Your next enquiry can
start with a scan.

A business card handed over after someone sees your work can point to a space-and-storage brief. Customers can then return to the questions at home when they have photos of the room.

Your finished EnquiryFit page includes a static QR code for print and a sharing image for text or WhatsApp. Keep a clickable link alongside the image for customers on the same phone. There is no separate QR subscription or scan tracking.

The example code here opens a fictional demo. Do not print a demonstration code for customer use. The final live-page code is prepared after setup, and the page address must stay available.

MADE AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

One focused page.
An agreed way to use it.

We choose the carpentry or joinery enquiries you want to prioritise and build the route around function, space, finish and timing. A customer can say when dimensions are unknown. The resulting brief supports your normal design and measurement process rather than replacing it with an automated specification.

Use the page from your existing website, social profile, direct replies or printed QR code. Hosting on an EnquiryFit address is included in the current offer. Your own domain or third-party hosting can have separate provider charges, and any additional work is agreed before it is carried out.

EnquiryFit does not sell shared leads or guarantee new traffic, quotations, bookings or revenue. It gives people who already find your business a clearer way to explain their project. You review the enquiry and choose the next step.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you put it to work.

Can the page be tailored to fitted furniture?

Yes. Wardrobes, alcove units, shelving or other agreed work can have prompts around function, approximate dimensions and finish preferences.

Are customer measurements treated as final?

No. They are a starting point for discussion. Your normal measurement, design and approval process remains necessary.

Can enquiries include both room photos and inspiration?

The final agreed route can distinguish them, so a reference image is not mistaken for the customer’s actual room or your completed work.
